The 7.62mm JS sniper rifle was developed in China by Jianshe Group, possibly for export sales, and is currently in limited use by Bangladesh military and Indian police special forces. Exact accuracy for this rifle is unknown, but manufacturer quotes maximum practical range for this weapon as 800 meters.

The 7.62mm JS sniper rifle is manually operated weapon with conventional rotary bolt action. Bolt has dual radial locking lugs at the front. Heavy fluted barrel is free-floated and fitted with massive muzzle brake. Rifle is fitted with fixed buttstock with adjustable cheek rest and recoil pad; folding adjustable bipod is attached at the front of the ribbed, beavertail-shaped forend. Feed is from detachable box magazines, holding 5 rounds of 7.62x54R ammunition. Rifle has no open (iron) sights by default; instead, a Picatinny-type rail on the top of receiver is provided for installation of the telescopic or night sights.
